As usual, police blotter shows our neighborhood has much lower level of
criminal activity than the "other" Haight. Does anyone get the report from
Northern?

Hi, I'll be there, I hope other LH residents/merchants will also be able to make it? Recently we have had many people release from prison & their back on our streets. These are the same guys our beat officers arrested 2 yrs ago & w/the letters from the neighborhood to the judges they were taken off the streets. I have seen at least 3 I know, back on haight & other surrounding streets. At this meeting on Monday, we need to get across to probation that's it important to monitor these guys & get them the help they need to come back to the community & not engage in criminal behavior. It is always the squeeky wheel, we need the community to come to this meeting to let them know, we do not want to to backwards to the days of double homicides & bullets flying, its not acceptable!! I recognized who you are speaking of and have also just recently noticed them around again all of the sudden. I absolutely agree with all of your points and also hope there will be a big turnout from the Lower Haight community. I will definitely be at the meeting and will absolutely do my best to spread the word.
